Cookie Policy

In accordance with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s decision of May 8, 2014, entitled “Identification of simplified procedures for the information notice and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies,” www.royalmusic.it informs the user as follows. This information must be considered as an annex to the more general privacy policy available on this page.

General Information on Cookies

When you access www.royalmusic.it or use one of our services, our system may set or read cookies and/or other identifiers concerning the browser and/or device you are using.

A cookie is a small text file stored on the computer of a website visitor for the purpose of recording certain information about the visit and creating a system to recognize the user in subsequent sessions. Device identifiers, on the other hand, are generated by collecting and processing certain information such as the IP address and/or user agent (browser version, operating system type and version) or other device features, always with the aim of linking certain information to a specific user.

A website can set a cookie in the browser only if the browser’s preferences allow it. It is important to know that a browser can allow a specific website to access only the cookies it has set, and not those set by other websites: in this respect, there is no risk to your privacy.

Practices related to cookies and similar technologies

www.royalmusic.it may use cookies or other identifiers for several reasons, including:

  • To keep track of user preferences while using the website and/or services incorporated in or connected to it.
  • To carry out statistical analyses (analytics) regarding the use of the website and/or services incorporated in it.
  • To conduct research to improve the contents, products, and services of www.royalmusic.it.

www.royalmusic.it does NOT directly use any profiling cookies: the only cookies generated and managed directly by www.royalmusic.it are so-called technical cookies (used exclusively to correctly provide the services offered to the public) and, in a very limited way, analytics cookies (used to count the number of page views and/or for other statistical purposes). However, we inform users that profiling cookies may be generated through our pages by third parties (see “Third-party cookies”).

Third-party Cookies

www.royalmusic.it integrates, within its pages, third-party services that may set and use their own cookies and/or similar technologies. The use of such cookies and technologies by these companies is governed by their own privacy policies, not by this policy, as www.royalmusic.it has no involvement in the management of these tools and the processing of data derived from them.

Below is a (non-exhaustive) list of some partner companies that may use cookies while you browse www.royalmusic.it:

Google Analytics Cookies

This website uses the service offered by Google Analytics in order to have a complete and reliable statistics service on website usage. To protect user privacy as strictly as possible, we inform you that IP anonymization has been enabled (therefore Google Analytics will anonymize the user’s/visitor’s IP address as soon as technically possible in the collection process).

The Data Controller also informs that it has accepted the Data Processing Amendment provided by Google Analytics in compliance with Directive 95/46/EC. Specifically, by virtue of this amendment, Google guarantees that it will process the personal data recorded through the service only within the limits of the instructions given by the website operator and will not share them with other Google services unless explicitly requested and authorized by the website owner.

As a result, we inform users that advertising options and data sharing with Google have not been activated and that Google Analytics has not been linked to any additional services: processing is therefore carried out solely for statistical purposes. For this reason, and in accordance with what is explicitly provided by the Data Protection Authority, Analytics cookies have been equated to technical cookies and are installed without the user’s prior consent.
